Flat Macramé Square Knot
Use a turquoise working cord around the doubled white core. Alternate the two halves of the knot to build the flat band shown at the end.

01. Keep the white core together
Hold the doubled white cord in the centre. Place one turquoise working end on each side.

02. Make the first side loop
Bring the left turquoise end across the white core, leaving a loop on the left.

03. Return the other end through
Bring the other turquoise end around the white core and out through the left loop. Keep the white strands together.

04. Tighten the first half
Pull the turquoise ends outward until the wrap closes neatly around the white core.

05. Reverse the next crossing
Start the next half with the opposite crossing arrangement shown in the video. Keep its side loop open for the other end.

06. Close the paired halves
Draw both turquoise ends outward. Seat the new half directly beneath the first to complete the paired knot.

07. Repeat to make a flat band
Continue alternating the two halves. Slide the knots together and straighten the band around the white core.
