Spiral Half Knot
Repeat the same half knot around the doubled white core. Keeping the same leading side produces the twisting turquoise section shown in the demonstration.

01. Place the working ends beside the core
Hold the doubled white cord together in the centre, with a turquoise end on each side.

02. Leave a loop on the left
Bring the left turquoise end across the white core. Leave a rounded loop beside it.

03. Thread the other end through
Bring the other turquoise end around the core and out through the open loop.

04. Close the first half knot
Pull the working ends outward. Keep the two white strands aligned inside the wrap.

05. Use the same leading side again
Make another loop in the same direction as the previous one. Repeat the return pass without reversing the half knot.

06. Allow the row to turn
Tighten the repeated half knots together. Let the turquoise section begin to twist around the white core.

07. Set the spiral section
Continue the same half knot to extend the spiral. Settle the wraps together with even tension.
Before you move on
- The same side starts each repeated half knot.
- The turquoise row develops a visible spiral rather than a flat band.
- The white core remains inside the wraps.
