Weave an open Pan Chang frame, then add a white eight-loop hollow Tuan Jin inside it. The two structures stay loose together until the inner ring is closed and the frame is dressed around it.
What you will need
- Red knotting cord for the open Pan Chang frame.
- White knotting cord for the inner hollow Tuan Jin.
- A gridded pinnable board and pins.
- A pointed cord-picking tool and small pliers.
Record what works for your cord
Write down its type, diameter and starting length, then the size after tightening. The printed result helps you compare the outline; it does not set the physical scale or show the hidden route. Follow the demonstration for threading and gradual tightening.
